We bless the sacred nine directions with fire and bless the waters of desire, the sacred breeze that sustains you and me!
The Circle of Life Robe or Ceremonial Blanket was designed (name of company purchased from) to honor all the Elders and their responsibility to teach, that all things are interrelated and share an equal part to the whole.
The Elders know they themselves are here to represent the many past generations. And this way of life has been preserved because of the foresight of the previous generations. "Life is like a path and we all have to walk the path. If we lay down, we lay on the path. When we get up, we walk the path again."
Note: Brown the Island Nation or the Womb (negative, heaven, numinous, below or most Southern). Golden the Peninsula Nation or the Phallic Land Bridge (positive, earth, luminous, above or most Northern).
Red: The Southwest represents the warmth and vitality of life - blood, the gift of life on the Red Road, the law of love, for children of the Twin Heart.
Blue/Black: Moving Southeasterly, the blue/black road represents the dark night sky, where heaven is our Mother, devoted and embracing, along the blue road.
Blue/Black: Black is the color of the Southeast, where the sun goes down. Black is darkness, release, spirit protection. In the darkness, the spirit beings come to us. The spirit beings warn us, protect us, foretell for us, release for us. They are the spirit helpers to Wakan Tanka. Blue/Black is the cup of water; The life-giving rains come from the west where the thunder beings live. Water is life. Black stands for the spirit world, which we shall all enter someday. What we do or do not do upon this earth,
White: As we rise into the Northeast, the Starry sky, represents the purity of snow and is the white road and united directions. Father leads us down the path towards the return to Heaven and Mother's arms, her warm embrace.
White: White is for the Northeast, the north power (waziya ouye), the white giant from the north (waziya ahtah). Strength, endurance, purity, truth all stand for the northeast. This covers our Mother Earth with the white blanket of cleansing snow, the crystalline stone river. The snow prevents many sicknesses found in places without snow. After the winter snows, our Mother Earth wakes refreshed to bring forth the bounty of springtime. For us two-leggeds, it is the time of long contemplation. We must think of when we will have the face of the old. We will want to look back upon our lifetime and hope that we stood for the united roads, the path and trail of the snake, abiding by the laws of love. In our relationship to all things, it is also a time to do small things, crafts and creative works, in order that we may pass through and enjoy our long winters wait. Courage and endurance are strengths we seek and wish to be blessed with, as we stand here facing the Evening Star (easterly).
Yellow: Northwest carries hope to the risen sun. The Morning Star appears and greets our hearts. The Northwest represents Dreams that unfold and flower. Here is the child, who brings no fear, but only growth to a new world ahead along the Yellow Road. There is unity and belief to hold true to the heart and merge with the sacred flesh that gives us a living dream to our soul. We are the Sun Dance of Rainbow Colors
Yellow: Yellow is where the daybreak star, the Morning star of knowledge appears. Yellow is the rising sun bringing us a new day and new experiences. We thank you, Great Spirit, for each new day that we are allowed to live upon Our Mother Earth. From knowledge springs wisdom and goodness. And we are thankful, oh Wakan Tanka (Great Spirit), for the morning sun that rises in the west. Knowledge shall become the beginning for ultimate peace throughout this world.
The Center Cross represents the Two Roads, blue and red. The path North to South is considered the Blue road. Path East to West is considered the Red Road. When the Red Road and Blue Road cross the Sun Rises, here the Dreams come true, known as the Morning Star (eight sacred directions, four directions plus four directions, soul and flesh). This image is considered the Solar Cross, because, when we find the unity of both roads, we cross paths with ourselves. The soul of heaven on the Blue Road, greets and meets, the flesh of earth on the Red Road.
Polar North and Polar South represent the secondary folding that occurs, when the heart floods and swells. This is the second four directions and when united with the first four directions, allows one to stand inside (9th) and observe the unity of two four directions or eight sacred directions (8+1=9). This is known as Holiness often represented by the Sacred Eagle, a living fire that purifies the mire. It also is given the name of the Morning Star, which represents this blessed unity of the Rising Sun. We call this wonderful feeling of being cleansed that our hearts can measure, is true LOVE. It purifies this world, both light and dark, to create heaven upon earth. This is the law that makes us know true happiness. It is the Red Nation, that must provide this law to all the peoples of the World in order to bind us all together as the folding of God's universe. One must care enough about others to speak up, share wisdom and to sever ignorance or separation (uniting broken hearts with validation), to live a rich and joyous life with all our relatives of the Rainbow Clan, the four directions and paths that gift us a Journey. When we stand in the center of eight directions, "We feel the winds of time and see rainbow colors sublime, there I spiral with my soul, to know of the sacred glow, my inner light will show the world, how to become the Great, I am". This is the ninth position and sacred directions of the wind. Holy all around. Here I stand, "I am Sun Dance!"
Note: If four sacred directions are aligned on top of one another, then we must fold together to unite. This happens in several ways. Both North to South, but also East to West in Relative Space folds (four directions) in the Mathematical Perfection. This is natural to folding, like you would fold a piece of paper twice and the path of the physical world. In this ceremonial blanket, there is a sharing of knowledge in the puzzle design, because as we choose a path, we must sustain our goal to reach the end. This the Ant teaches us, as a light at the end of the tunnel always shows us the way to go. We must trust our hearts, to show us the way along the course of our lives. Trusting self is the hardest thing for us Humans to consider and then to even love and cherish self grows empty when others do not share this wealth of self knowledge. This why we must be SEEKERS, alway looking for the light at the end of a tunnel. We at alightfromwithin.org say, it's within, where the light grows and our soul realizes we eternally travel with. This is our journey we display for the whole of God's kingdom as we share our waves of colors often referred to as tools of light and rolling hills. This is represented by the Buffalo, who shares four sacred directions and wears a prayer cloth, to purify the eternal soul, with four more directions along our path. The colors of the rainbow are many and varied. We happen to all carry four rainbow colors, each and everyone of us. However the colors blue and green represent a secondary folding that occurs. This allows the descending of our souls to move through time. This is the spiraling that occurs with the House of God, where there are green grass valleys within heavenly space. Here the blue reflection of light upon our waters, allows the world to be conceived, one tear at a time brings oceans of cleansing to our world, making sure life continues in our dreams. We bless the sacred nine directions in the breeze, the heart of you and me, the blue home of heaven.
East symbolizes birth (creation) of the soul and death (destruction) of the flesh, here the eastern shore gives and taketh away and the journey of the spiritual world begins, eternal and forgiving for the next path. The awakening of the soul in the spiritual world where our heart talks is spoken in Song and Music.
West symbolizes birth (creation) of the flesh and death (destruction) of the soul, here the journey of life begins, as the Sun Rises to gift Rainbow Colors (waves of light), over rolling hills. Here lies our path in the physical world where our feet walk and as we grow older, the maturity of experience gifts us wisdom.
South symbolizes the womb and the sacred embrace of the child who carries the vitality of youth, growth. Here the circular knowledge is the embrace of the heavenly bonds of eternity and the beat of the heart is known and sown. She is our Mother (heavenly darkness or numinosity), always watching over us, always embracing us and guiding our hearts as we begin our walk.
North symbolizes the wisdom of age and the journey of the long path of life, the circle home. We began, gave birth, rose up, journey along, till finally we are ready to die, to plant the seeds for a new generation. We rise like stars in the night sky, who embrace/hug in the day sky and remember the returning path to our heavenly souls and to Mother.
"What ever the course of our lives, we should recieve them as the highest gift from the hand of God, in which equally reposed the power to do nothing whatever for us. Indeed, we should accept misfortune not only in thanks, but in infinite gratitude to Providence, which by such means detaches us from an excessive love for Earthly things and elevates our minds to the celestial and divine." — Galileo Galilei
The Circle of Life exemplifies a world of dissimilar things coming together to form a harmonious, beautiful pattern, a web we weave. We give praise for our Elders who have kept these concepts alive for many generations to come.
